All Roots, Herbs, and Ritual Blends are packaged in thick glass 2 oz jars. The color, jar style, and closure may vary.
In addition to this Ritual Kit, you will need:
- Target's biological material (hair, sexual fluids, etc.) or an energy-rich physical item closely associated with the target. Such as the target's business card that they have handed you.
- Piece of tape to secure the biological material or other physical energetic links, as mentioned above.
- Photograph of the target, preferably printed on plain copy paper.
- Pen
- Lighter or matches
- Fireproof surface
Ritual Instructions
The Do My Bidding Ritual should be performed for a minimum of 2 consecutive nights between the Witch's New Moon (when the very first crescent of the moon is visible) and the Full Moon.
The timing of the Do My Bidding Ritual is crucial! The ritual should be performed when you are positive the target has already been asleep for a couple of hours. Unless your target is an insomniac, 3 AM is the ideal time to perform this spell. The target's conscious and subconscious defenses are down, allowing your spellwork to permeate deeply within their mind and energy field.
Find a quiet space and time where you will not be disturbed. As with all rituals, your altar surface must be fireproof. A stone or thick metal tray works well. Set all materials within close reach in your ritual space.
Take a deep breath and allow your body and your mind to relax.
Breathe out stress, breathe in joy.
Breathe out worry, breathe in comfort.
Breathe out tension, breathe in serenity.
Step 1: On the back of the targets photo, write their full name and date of birth, along with an affirmative statement such as:
"{name} you are happily moving to New Orleans with me and are actively finding a new job in our new town."
This is now your mantra. Whenever "your mantra" is mentioned throughout this ritual, this is the phrase that you should use.
Step 2: Attach the biological material or energetic item to the back of the photo and turn the photo over to face you.
Step 3: Dust the photo with about 1/2 teaspoon of the Do My Bidding Ritual Blend, making sure you can still see the target's face, especially the eyes.
Step 4: While looking into the target's eyes, roll a single Old World Ritual Candle between the palms of your hands. Beeswax absorbs and expands energy, which is why we use pure beeswax candles for all rituals. Chant your mantra until the wax warms up and becomes a bit sticky.
Step 5: Lay the Ritual Candle directly on top of the herb-dusted photo. Gently roll the candle over the photo. The Ritual Candles are made entirely of beeswax and are naturally a bit sticky. Some of the Ritual Blend excesses will remain on the photo, which is perfectly fine. Continue chanting your mantra.
Step 6: With power and authority, exclaim your mantra. Light the candle and drip about 3-4 drops of wax directly over the photo, creating a small pool of wax in the center. Stick the base of the candle directly into the pool of wax and hold it for about 5 seconds. The center quickly hardens, and the candle will stand upright without any assistance.
Note: It may take you a couple of times to get the hang of this, but once you do, it will become a permanent part of your ritual repertoire.
Step 7: Position yourself so that you can look through the exterior of the flame, directly into the target's eyes. Your gaze should soften and become out of focus. Your own senses of sight and sound will drown out for just a few seconds. Consciously attempt to make a telepathic connection with the target's energy field. Often imagining and "seeing" your spellwork spreading into their energy field, similar to radiation or thick fog, works wonderfully.
Step 8: Sit quietly in meditation for a few minutes. Feel the serenity and joy of knowing that the work is done and the energy is currently penetrating your target. More often than not, the candles will extinguish themselves in their own puddle of wax. Pay close attention and do not let the candles accidentally catch the photo on fire. Stay put the remainder of the burn.
Step 9: An average Old World Ritual Candle burns 20-45 minutes, all based on your environment (temperature, drafts, amount of herbs used, etc.). As the candle burns down, you will need to create another candle to take its place the following night. The new candle should be placed directly on top of the same photo and wax/herbs remnants from the previous night's ritual. You will need to repeat this ritual for a minimum of 2 consecutive mornings, including the herb application on every new Ritual Candles.
Remnant Disposal: To maintain a strong energetic link, it is strongly advised that your ritual remnants come into physical contact with the target.
For best results, use one of the following disposal methods:
- Finely shred or grind the remnants into a powder and place them on the target's property.
- Place the remnants where the target will surely step on them. Such as outside the driver's side door of their car.
- Scatter throughout hidden parts of the target's home or office.
- Anonymously mail the target a greeting card with the remnants inside. Do not write your name or return address anywhere. You may use a fake name or leave the return address blank.
Old World Moon Phases
The Moon is of key importance for the Old World Witch. The Moon and its cycle (increase and decrease) impact the potency of rituals and their successes. The Moon amplifies rituals and works in harmony with the energies exerted by the Witch.
As Old World Witches, we utilize elemental forces for magick and mystical significance of the natural world and its fauna and flora: Esoteric knowledge. Lore of healing. Energetic resonance of herbs and roots. And, of course, the Moon.
The Old World Witch does not follow the exact terminology and specifications of modern astrologers and astronomers. We maintain the visual interpretation and energies of the Moon, as explained below.

Dark Moon
When the Moon cannot be seen and is in the dark phase, it is referred to as the Dark Moon in Old World Witchcraft. Modern astronomers and astrologers call this darkness the New Moon because the cycle of the Moon is about to restart.
Old World Witches are not the only ones who follow this Dark Moon terminology. Several ancient cultures (such as Islam) define this period as the end of the month and the very first crescent of the Moon (Witch's New Moon) as the beginning of the month.
The Witch's Dark Moon is a night of stillness, contemplation, and banishment. The only types of rituals that should be done on the Dark Moon are banishment work or curses/hexes. The Dark Moon is also ideal for all kinds of divination and working with the departed.
The Moon is energetically at its lowest point and is more conducive to the mentioned rituals.
Witch's New Moon (first crescent)
The New Moon of the Old World Witch is called the Witch's New Moon. It is when the very first crescent or sliver of the Moon is visible. This is typically 2-3 nights after the Dark Moon.
With some variations, the Witch's New Moon rises in the daytime before noon and becomes visible in the day sky. It will be most visible at sunset and usually sets well before midnight. The Witch's New Moon is the same percentage all over the world - both in the Northern and Southern Hemisphere. However, the tips of the Witch's New Moon point depend on the time, date, and location on Earth.
The Witch's New Moon is the ideal time to begin rituals that draw a life experience, physical possession, or situation to you. This can be for love, money, health, or personal development.
Rituals are best performed for 3-12 consecutive days. This is what leads to powerful, lasting, and most importantly, measurable results. Starting rituals three nights after the Dark Moon will give you exactly 12 days of rituals leading up to the Full Moon.
The Witch's New Moon is also the ideal time to begin a new venture, get married, apply for a job, or embark on a journey.
The same energetic attributes apply throughout the Waxing Moon, all the way up to the Full Moon.
The Full Moon is not only the most magickally potent and powerful time of the month, but it is also the most physically stimulating. As the Moon affects the ocean tides, so too does it affect our bodies. If you pay close attention to your body, you may have noticed that you may feel extra swollen or puffy on the mornings leading up to the full Moon and a couple of days thereafter. These are the days of maxi dresses, undereye concealer, and perhaps an inclination to wear fewer rings on your fingers.
Rituals are best performed for 3-12 consecutive days. This is what leads to powerful, lasting, and most importantly, measurable results. If you have been performing rituals leading up to the Full Moon, consider the night of the Full Moon the climax of your ritual.
The Full Moon signifies the cultivation of goals, the peak of a cycle, and emotional fulfillment. The Full Moon is best used to draw something into your life, such as love, financial prosperity, or self-development.
If, however, you are choosing not to perform any magick on the night of the Full Moon, simply sitting under the moon rays and energetically absorbing the magnetism will reawaken and revitalize your spirit.
Whether you're having a difficult time leaving an unsuitable relationship or are trying to eliminate negative self-talk, the Waning Moon is perfectly capable and willing to help phase out what is no longer needed or wanted.
In addition to removing negative influences from your life, this is also an appropriate time to cast revenge spells (curses).
The Waning Moon reminds us of things yet to be done and that time is slipping away. Anxiety is usually heightened during this time; therefore, self-care is critical.
